1 - How do I book a wedding?
Give me a call or an email, and we can get the paperwork started! There are three forms you need to fill out, plus the booking fee has to be paid. We can do this by mail (I can email or snail mail the forms) or by having a free pre-consultation meeting on a weeknight.
2 - How much do you charge?
My fees start at $75 and go up to approximately $1500, depending on the services you need provided. Looking for something simple? You can probably expect a fee of $75 - $150. Looking for deluxe officiant services? You can expect a fee of $250. For an exact quote, email or call me!
3 - How long have you been doing weddings?
I started doing weddings in 2004. I specialize only in weddings. I have performed dozens of weddings in Tennessee and Mississippi
4 - What are your qualifications?
I am an ordained minister affiliated with the Church of Spiritual Humanism and Universal Ministries (NOT The Universal Life Church).
5 - What do I have to do to get married in Tennessee/Mississippi?
In short, get a marriage license and take vows before an authorized person and a witness. The exact definition of an authorized person varies from state to state. For more information on marriage licenses, please see the marriage license sections of my website.
6 - I want to have a last minute wedding? Do you do those?
Yes! I perform all sorts of short notice ceremonies.
7 - My wedding is a year away. Can I book you?
Yes! I perform all sorts of planned ceremonies.
8 - Do you have a hall or space that you rent out for weddings?
No, I do not. There are several places in Memphis that you can use for free for a small, casual ceremony.
9 - Do you have an office where we can meet?
No, I do not maintain an office outside my home office. However there are several places in Memphis I use as mobile offices! I am sure there is a location near you where we could have a consultation.
10 - What types of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, money orders, and cashiers checks. No personal checks please. We are now accepting Paypal! Due to Paypal processing fees, you will need to add an additional $5 convenience charge to your total. This total is to help us cover the costs of using Paypal. We will accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We will also accept additional balances. Please email me if you would like to pay via PayPal and I will send you an invoice.
